Firefighters investigate arson that caused significant damage to vacant house

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Officials are investigating another arson after a vacant house caught fire Monday morning.

The Baton Rouge Fire Department reported a house on North St. Gerard Circle went up in flames around 9:45 a.m.

Curt Monte with BRFD said the house was fully engulfed in flames with crews arrived on the scene.

He added firefighters were able to quickly get the fire under control before the flames could spread to nearby homes.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the arson to call them at 354-1419.
