EBR Libraries set to announce strategic plans for future of local libraries

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The East Baton Rouge Library system is ready to unveil a strategic plan for the future of the local library system in a series of meetings.

Over the past three years, EBR libraries have been asking guests at various library functions about how visitors see the library helping the community now and in the future.

EBR Libraries have used that data to draft a strategic plan to address various issues and concerns for the future.

The plan will be revealed through a series of meetings, with at least one meeting at every library branch over the next six months. The meetings are scheduled as follows:

Fairwood Branch, 12910 Old Hammond Hwy.

2-4 p.m. Saturday, January 24

Main Library at Goodwood, 7711 Goodwood Blvd.

6-8 p.m. Monday, January 26

2-4 p.m. Tuesday, January 27

River Center Branch, 120 Saint Louis St.

Noon-1:30 p.m. & 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, February 24

Bluebonnet Regional Branch, 9200 Bluebonnet Blvd.

7-8:30 p.m. Thursday, February 26
