BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - On Thursday, Baton Rouge Police arrested a 23-year-old man accused of shooting a woman during an attempted armed robbery on Thursday.
Officers contacted the victim, suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the stomach, in a parking lot at 650 North Ardenwood.
The victim told police that a man she knew as "Boosie," who police would later learn is Christopher Green, 23, approached her and told her to put her phone on the ground. The victim was shot when she refused to do so.
The victim was able to immediately identify Green as the person who shot her in the parking lot from a photographic lineup.
Green was arrested and charged with attempted first degree murder, attempted armed robbery, illegal use of a weapon, and possession of a firearm by a person convicted of certain felonies.
