BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - According to the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office, the suspect arrested Wednesday for multiple business burglaries in Ascension Parish, is the suspect wanted for the burglary of Mary Lee Donuts on Greenwell Springs Road.
Early Tuesday morning, a man smashed the windows to Jerry Lee's Cajun Foods, and ran next door to Mary Lee's Donuts, where he smashed the front window and stole the cash register.
The whole act was caught on camera.
The man has been identified as 42-year-old Eric Glascock from Prairieville. He was arrested Tuesday for burglarizing several businesses in Gator Plaza on Highway 431 at Highway 931 on Saturday. In all three businesses, the glass of the front door was shattered, deposit bags with an undisclosed amount were taken.
An anonymous tip led to the arrest of Glascock. He was charged with three counts of simple burglary, three counts of simple criminal damage to property less than $500, and two counts of theft less than $750. He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail where no bond has been set.
Officials with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office have placed a hold on Glascock at Ascension Parish Prison.
More charges are expected to be filed.
