BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - An Appeals Court heard the case of Woody Jenkins who is challenging some of the annexations in Baton Rouge.
A lower court said Jenkins couldn't sue over the annexation because he didn't have enough personal interest involved. Jenkins says as a citizen of Baton Rouge, he has a right to challenge the city of Baton Rouge specifically the annexation of the Mall of Louisiana.
“Police protection in general is going to be diluted in particular by having to protect the mall. The mall has 15,000 visitors a year and that takes police protection,”Jenkins said.
A ruling could come in the next few weeks.
