Sheriff: Tip leads detectives to 2 sought in armed robbery of a pharmacy

LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA (WAFB) -

After detectives received a tip about a crime, two Denham Springs residents were arrested in connection with an armed pharmacy robbery that happened in Watson, La. on Jan. 5.

Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard says 32-year-old Preston H. Davis was arrested after a traffic stop on Jan. 9. Detectives recovered clothing worn during the armed robbery, the firearm used and a large quantity of prescription medications taken during the robbery after a search of Davis' vehicle and house.

Detectives were also able to locate the white vehicle used as a get-away vehicle.

Davis is charged with armed robbery, and felon in possession of a firearm. He was booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center on a $150,000 bond.

Through the investigation, 28-year old Amber Frith, Davis' girlfriend, was also arrested. She was charged with principal to armed robbery with a firearm for allegedly helping Davis flee the scene of the crime.

She is currently in the Livingston Parish Detention Center and her bond is set at $100,000.

This case is ongoing and more charges are possible. Walker Police Department assisted in arresting the suspect.
