WALKER, LA (WAFB) -

I-12 West between Walker and Satsuma was finally reopened for good early Tuesday morning after workers removed an 18-wheeler that went off the interstate the day before.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development reported the opening via Twitter at 3:12 a.m.

Louisiana State Police reported the closure Monday around 10:30 a.m. and the initial cleanup efforts lasted until just before 3 p.m.

The roadway was reopened, but officials closed it again around 10 p.m. to finish the process.

Officials said the driver had only minor injuries from the crash.
