THIBODAUX, LA (WAFB) -

A man convicted in December for having sex with a minor was arrested Sunday after the victim's parents found him in their teen's bedroom.

James Brown, 21, of Raceland, LA, was convicted after he had consensual sexual intercourse with the teenager on at least one occasion in late September 2014. Brown was arrested and charged with felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile. He was arrested in October 2014 and later convicted. He was registered as a Tier I Sex Offender and ordered to have no further contact with the victim.

During the early morning hours of Jan. 4, the victim's parents called the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office again after they found Brown in the victim's room.

Deputies arrested Brown and charged him with unlawful presence or contact of a sex offender relative to a former victim and entering after being forbidden. He is being held in the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in lieu of a $6,000 bond. He is also being held for Louisiana Probation and Parole.
