Sheriff needs help finding suspect in rash of car burglaries

HAMMOND, LA (WAFB) -

Deputies with the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office need help in identifying the subject(s) responsible for a rash of vehicle burglaries that happened over the weekend on Adams Rd. in the Jefferson Court Subdivision in Hammond.

Numerous cases were reported throughout the night. 

Sheriff Daniel Edwards urges you to make sure your car doors are locked at all times. Most crimes occur as the result of opportunity. Please don't allow yourself to become a victim.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-554-5245. You could receive a cash reward of up to $1,000 for the information leading to the arrest and indictment of the responsible person(s). 

You do not have to give your name nor testify to receive the reward. Citizens can also submit an anonymous tip online to Crime Stoppers at www.tangicrimestoppers.com.
