BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - New Year's Eve was a busy night for law enforcement who were out to make sure roads were safe on one of the biggest party nights of the year.
According to jail records, a dozen people accused of drunk driving were arrested in East Baton Rouge Parish.
The arrests were made by the Baton Rouge Police Department, East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office and Louisiana State Police. Those arrested were identified as:
Troopers said they want to be clear that drinking and driving is a safety hazard for everyone on the road.
LSP added despite the holiday, Troop A had a normal shift in the Baton Rouge area, meaning about 15 troopers were patrolling.
