BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The effects of the recruiting fallout from the news that LSU has lost defensive coordinator John Chavis to SEC West rival Texas A&M were already being seen Wednesday.
Five-star defensive tackle Daylon Mack from Texas, who is rated the No. 15 player in America by ESPN and has the athleticism of a running back to go with an interior lineman's body, has added Texas A&M back to his list of recruiting visits in January, according to the website Saturday Down South.
The move was made just 11 days after Mack made LSU and TCU his final two schools, in no particular order. However, Mack is not the only high-profile recruit that may be getting away from LSU.
JUCO defensive back Justin Martin announced Wednesday afternoon he was switching from LSU to Tennessee and another Nashville native, Kyle Phillips, a defensive end, told 24/7 he heard Brick Haley is leaving, too and he's considering following Martin to Knoxville as well.
