ASCENSION PARISH, LA (WAFB) -

Louisiana State Police troopers have arrested a Denham Springs man for a seventh DWI after conducting a traffic stop early Tuesday morning.

Efremzimbalist Randle, 46, was stopped by LSP troopers at about 2 a.m. after receiving reports that he was traveling erratically on I-10 West. Officers contacting Randle suspected that he was under the influence of alcohol. Randle performed poorly on a field sobriety test and later gave a breath sample that showed that he was over the legal limit.

Randle was charged with seventh offense DWI, reckless operation, ignition interlock offenses, possession of alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles, and other offenses. Randle was booked into the Ascension Parish jail with a $101,999 bond.
