Police name shooting suspect who jumped off bridge

PORT ALLEN, LA (WAFB) -

PORT ALLEN, LA (WAFB) -Police have named the suspect that jumped off the Intracoastal Bridge on Friday night after shooting at a home and leading police on a chase.

An arrest warrant has been issued for 24-yr-old Arterrion Robertson. Plaquemine Police say Robertson fired shots at a house following a domestic dispute that took place at the home. Robertson led police on a chase and then crashed his car near the Intracoastal Bridge. He then got out of the car and jumped off the bridge. Police say the suspect landed on a patch of grass about 20 to 30 feet below.

Officials are still searching for him and have called in K9 units from the Baton Rouge Police Department to assist.

Robertson is currently facing 18 felony charges and has prior charges with the Gonzales Police Department, and the St. John the Baptist and Ascension Sheriff's Offices.
