Crash shuts down US 190 West in Livonia for about an hour

LIVONIA, LA (WAFB) - Louisiana State Police reported the Livonia Police Department closed US 190 West near LA 978 due to a crash Friday night.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development said the roadway was reopened around 10:30 p.m.

Troopers said US 190 West was closed while emergency crews worked to clear the scene.

No other details were given.

    Several groups advocating for the interests of educators and "Together Baton Rouge" gathered outside of a School Board meeting Thursday to publicly request a meeting with the CEO of ExxonMobil, hopeful they'd be able to persuade him to withdraw a request that would exempt Exxon from paying school property taxes on more than 150 million dollars of the company's property.
