Police said they had to use a stun gun on a man after he allegedly tried to run over several officers with a car on Christmas Eve.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reported Leandrew Thomas, 30, of Baton Rouge, was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on the following charges:

Aggravated assault with a motor vehicle upon a peace officer

Resisting an officer

Aggravated flight from an officer

Possession of marijuana

Suspended driver's license

Bond has not been set.

According to the probable cause report, officers responded to Wyandotte Street after receiving reports about a man passed out in a car.

However, when officers tried to approach Thomas, he allegedly put the car in reverse and nearly hit several of them.

Investigators said Thomas continued to drive recklessly for several blocks before stopping.

According to police, he continued to resist arrest after pulling over, so officers shocked him with a stun gun.

Authorities said officers found two marijuana cigarettes in the car. They added Thomas reportedly told them it was "Mojo."
