BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - An 11-year-old boy battling brain cancer got his second wish granted by a business.
J.J. Walker has been fighting an aggressive cancer that takes 90 percent of its victims' lives two years after diagnosis. Right now, Walker is still standing strong. He was diagnosed nearly three years ago.
Honda Yamaha on Airline Highway donated a four-wheeler to Walker on Wednesday.
General Manager Mark Bould said his crew got word that Walker was in need of a new one.
"We said, 'We are going to donate the bike and see if we can make this child's Christmas as good as it can be,'" Bould said.
Walker had no clue he was getting the bike. When he was told it was his, he broke down and cried, sharing special a moment with his mother, Denise Freeman.
"I really can't find the words," Freeman said. "I feel blessed to know that there are others out there that are really angels."
Bould said his business is based on being "friendly" and Wednesday he made another friend.
