GONZALES, LA (WAFB) - The mayor and police chief in a southeast Louisiana city pulled double duty on Christmas Eve to play Santa.
Mayor Barney Arceneaux and Police Chief Sherman Jackson in Gonzales were on hand to give two families the keys to brand new vehicles full of gifts from the Ascension Parish community.
The family said words can't describe what it means to them.
"Everything, just being able to get our boys back and forth to their appointments and just get them out, it's everything," said Laura Eldredge. "I'm speechless. It just means everything to us."
Ralph's Food Market also gave each family $250.
