BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Police released a new photo Tuesday of the car they believe could have been involved in the sexual assault of a 7-year-old girl that happened almost two weeks ago.

The incident happened on December 13 after the Gus Young Christmas Parade. The Baton Rouge Police Department reported a man lured the girl over, grabbed her and forced her into his vehicle. Police reports stated she was taken to an unknown location where he sexually assaulted her.

A surveillance camera at the park picked up a gold or tan-colored four-door car leaving the park. Detectives said it appears to be a Nissan Maxima with possible damage to the back bumper on the driver's side. They believe it is possibly from 1997 to 2001.

The suspect is described as a black man around 6'0" tall. He has a medium to heavyset build.

Anyone with information about this crime is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 225-344-7867.
