BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Baton Rouge Police say a body was found Monday evening during the search for missing 4-year-old Jassiah Clark.

Jassiah vanished from his home in the 5600 block of Robertson Avenue Saturday afternoon. The body was found near his home on Robertson Avenue, in a large, deep hole that was filled with water.

Family members say Jassiah was last seen playing in the front yard of his home when he vanished.

The body was found around 7:30 p.m. and the coroner was called to the scene.

A Department of Public Works vehicle was called to the scene to pump water out of the hole.

Baton Rouge Police Chief Carl Dabadie and District Attorney Hillar Moore were also called to the scene.

Police note the investigation is ongoing, and details will be released as they become available.
