Sno-ball stand owners busted for selling weed near 2 school zones

OPELOUSAS, LA (WAFB) - Two Opelousas, LA men were arrested after an undercover investigation revealed the duo were selling "Hydro" marijuana to any customer willing to pay.

Deputies on the St. Landry Parish Narcotics Enforcement Team (N.E.T.) say 37-year-old Jermaine D. Doucet and 32-year-old Bryant C. Fields were operating a business called T&E Soul Food and Sno-Balls.

The "Hydro Sno-ball stand" was located within two separate drug-free school zones, and hundreds of children passed the stand every day, according to reports from the sheriff's office.

The N.E.T. watched, and when the time was right, closed around the two dealers. The raid took place on Dec 17 2014, and when it was over, N.E.T. agents had seized a quantity of "Hydro" marijuana. The exact quantity was not released.
