PRAIRIEVILLE, LA (WAFB) -

Teddy bears collected in memory of a teenager who died in a car crash last week were loaded into delivery trucks Thursday.

Friends and families put the bears collected for Claire Carline, 15, of Prairieville, into a trailer to deliver them to families in the area.

Her family said they've collected about 55 bags of bears so far to hand out this holiday season. The hope is for her memory to live on forever.

"I think the teddy bears are going to touch other children throughout the community and show her loving spirit," said Vickie Hall, the organizer of the project. "Even though she's not with us here now, she's going to touch many lives."

Hall is a family friend. She said the bears will go to charitable organizations approved by Carline's family.
