Police release surveillance image of 1 of 2 robbery suspects

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Police are asking for the public's help in finding two men who robbed a convenience store Sunday morning.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reported the robbery happened at the Exxon gas station on Plank Road, where Harding Boulevard turns into Hooper Road, around 8 a.m.

Investigators said the suspects walked in, shoved the employee to the ground and grabbed items from the store. They said the suspects drove off in a newer model Ford Explorer.

According to officers, no injuries were reported and no weapons were seen. A surveillance camera in the store captured an image of one of the suspects.

He is described as 5'7" with a medium build and looks to be between 25 and 30 years old.

The second suspect is described as about 5'10" and heavy set. He is believed to be in his mid-30s.
