BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A Port Allen woman has been charged with attempted second degree murder after police say she and a group of other women attacked another woman following an argument.

Baton Rouge Police arrested Alonzonesha Garner, 20, on Nov. 18. She was also charged with aggravated criminal damage and illegal use of a weapon.

Police say it happened at a home in the 2000 block of Mulbery Street. The victim was leaving a relative's home following an argument over the phone when Garner and four other women arrived at the house and ran toward the victim's car. They were carrying bricks and baseball bats. The victim attempted to get away, but the group began damaging the car. Officials say they threw a brick through the rear windshield and then attempted to pull the victim out of the car. The victim said she saw Garner pull out a gun and fire several shots into the vehicle without hitting anyone inside.

Police found a single bullet lodged near the right side of the front windshield. Garner was booked into the EBR Parish Prison.
