Baton Rouge has scored another economic point thanks to the relocation of a game testing company.
In a big announcement Tuesday morning, Seattle-based Qalytics revealed it will be moving its headquarters to the Louisiana Technology Park in Baton Rouge.
The move will create dozens of permanent jobs with annual salaries around $27,000. Mayor Kip Holden said it's the kind of news that helps put Baton Rouge on the map.
"We're bringing in people from all walks of life," Holden said. "What you're seeing is the emerging of so much young talent in Baton Rouge. It makes other cities envious of what we're doing here."
The state attracted the company by offering a competitive incentive package including tax credits.
