BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The bond has been set for a janitor accused of raping a 14-year-old after forcing her into a classroom after school.
According to documents from the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office, 31-year-old Adrian Paul Wright, Jr.'s bond has been set at $100,000.
Authorities were notified of the alleged rape on April 4, 2014, when the teenager told a counselor of the alleged assault.
The girl says she was leaving North Banks Middle School campus on Nov. 23, 2013 when she was physically forced into a classroom and raped by Wright, 31, an Aramark employee. She said she didn't tell anyone because she was afraid no one would believe her.
It took detectives seven months to wrap up their investigation because the crime was not reported right away.
While attempting to locate the suspect, police were notified that Wright was already in prison, serving time on a 10 year sentence for auto theft.
