BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The students and teachers at Claiborne Elementary School in Baton Rouge have holiday gifts and school supplies thanks to the folks at Exxonmobil.
The company presented the school with gifts Wednesday morning. It's all part of exxon's partnership with Adopt-a-classroom. The company also presented a $100,000 check to the program to help support local elementary teachers and students.
"I think it all comes back at the end when we see the difference in the children from the beginning of the school year then at the end of school,"says Kelli Pullen, a teacher at Claiborne. "The reward for us or the payback for us is the success of the students."
The money will help teachers buy school supplies.
