This week's "Your Turn" segment goes to Melissa Boudreaux.
Boudreaux and more than 500 other people left comments on our Facebook page in response to the tragic automobile accident that killed five members of a Texas family who were traveling through Ouachita Parish. A lot of the comments centered on whether it was appropriate to discuss the use of seat belts in the immediate aftermath of the accident.
Boudreaux thought it was appropriate. In her words: Prayers for the driving child that survived as well as the two other siblings. This is tragic and sad. However, I'm angered these three children were left to handle this after the parents who were educators did not use their seat belts and left the other three children unrestrained. There is no excuse. And now three children are forever left without parents by something easily preventable. This is horrible and a burden no child should have to bear.
