BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A big change could be coming to ice cream production for Kleinpeter Farms Dairy on Airline Highway.
The Baton Rouge Business Report says CEO Jeff Kleinpeter is considering outsourcing his ice cream to another dairy if he can't find a new production manager.
He says since the retirement of his former manager, it has been tough finding a good replacement.
"If we cannot find an expert manager who meets our standards, the door is open to outsourcing the production of our ice cream to a company that specializes in ice cream production," said Kleinpeter in an interview with the Baton Rouge Business Report.
Kleinpeter also said he hopes he doesn't have to resort to outsourcing. In the meantime, some stores are still carrying the ice cream because the dairy has enough product to continue stocking local freezers.
