BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - An accused heroin dealer was arrested Sunday night in the 2900 block of College Drive, according to an affidavit of probable cause from the Baton Rouge Police Department.
Police were called to the intersection of College Dr. and Corporate Blvd. around 6 p.m. Sunday after complaints of a woman panhandling for money. When the officer arrived, he "immediately observed 'track marks' on both of her hands." The officer searched the woman's backpack and found a syringe.
The woman was read her rights.
According to the report, she told the officer she was willing to cooperate by making a purchase from her dealer for approximately $100 worth of brown-powder heroin. After the arrangement was made, the officer saw the woman make a hand-to-hand transaction with 38-year-old Gralyn Leduff.
The officer contacted Leduff and seized about $100 worth of brown-powder heroin and two crack cocaine rocks.
Leduff was arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of possession with intent to distribute heroin and possession of crack cocaine. He is being held in lieu of a $60,000 bond.
