HAMMOND, LA (WAFB) - Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards reports an additional suspect is being sought in the November 24, 2014 shooting that occurred at an apartment complex on Quick Blvd. in Hammond.
33-year-old Byron Dykes of Quick Blvd is wanted on charges of Aggravated battery, Convicted felon in possession of a firearm, and Illegal use of a weapon.
During the investigation it was revealed that on the afternoon of November 24, 2014, Dykes fired shots from a handgun while a large crowd was gathered outside of an apartment complex which consequently wounded 19-year-old Davon Moore of S. Olive Street in Hammond. Allegedly, Dykes initiated the exchange of gunfire subsequently wounding the two victims.
In return, Louis L. Perry Jr., 22, of Quick Blvd. is being accused of firing multiple shots through the front door of a near by residence striking 33-year-old Willie Dykes twice. Perry is facing charges of two counts of attempted second degree murder.
