BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Members of the Baton Rouge Fire Department were on hand to keep the public safe on Thanksgiving, but that doesn't mean they were denied a good meal.
The firefighters may have been spent the day wearing their uniforms and staying by the radio listening for distress calls, but the spread on their table looked delicious.
There were traditional foods, as well as extras for enjoying at the Robert Bogan Fire Station on Government Street.
And, as they waited for their next emergency, there was football on television.
Their willingness to protect on this holiday is much appreciated.
