Woman accused of of stealing from ATC co-workers' purses faces theft charge

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Louisiana State Police arrested a woman working for Louisiana Alcohol and Tobacco Control who is accused of taking cash from her co-workers' purses.

Troopers reported Lindy Tullier, a non-commissioned employee, was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a theft charge. She was released from jail after posting bond and has since been fired.

The ATC office is located within Louisiana State Police headquarters.

"These actions will not be tolerated and ATC will demand that full restitution be made to all parties who were victimized," said ATC Commissioner Troy Hebert.

"Employees of law enforcement agencies, whether commissioned or non-commissioned, are held to a higher standard due to the trust placed in us by the citizens we serve," said Col. Mike Edmonson, superintendent of LSP. "These actions will not be tolerated and certainly not in the headquarters of the Louisiana State Police."

ATC said an internal investigation is underway to determine whether any other money was stolen.
