BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A Baton Rouge man is being held on a $100,500 bond after he was charged with a fourth offense DWI.
According to the probable cause affidavit from the Baton Rouge Police Department, around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, 58-year-old Robert Wilkerson was involved in a motor vehicle crash.
Police say Wilkerson had a strong alcoholic beverage odor, poor balance and slurred speech. He refused to perform any standard field sobriety task, but did submit a sample on the Intoxilyzer 5000.
His sample from the Intoxilyzer 5000 showed a BAC of .229g%, which is nearly three times the legal limit, which is .08g%.
Wilkerson was arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. He was charged with driving with a suspended license and fourth offense DWI.
