Walmart announces changes for Black Friday shopping

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - By now, everyone has seen lots of advertisements because Black Friday is right around the corner and that means big savings for some big products.

This year, Walmart is making a few changes to its Black Friday routine in order to keep customers safe.

The store plans to have more cash registers open than it ever has for past Black Fridays. It will also uphold its one hour guarantee for customers for the third year in a row.

"It guarantees that the customer entering the store can pick up the product that they actually came to get," said Gary Armstrong, a Walmart co-manager. "It guarantees they will get that particular item."

To get the one hour guarantee, Walmart shoppers need to get in the designated line between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day for the item they want.

Best Buy, Macy's, Kohl's, Toys R Us, Target and JC Penney are also among those who will open doors before Black Friday morning.
