GREENWELL SPRINGS, LA (WAFB) - Authorities said three men are behind bars after a meth lab in full gear was discovered at a home near a park.
The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office reported Allen Sylvester, 37; Kerry Leininger, 43; and Thomas Haymon, 30; were arrested on a charge of operation and creation of clandestine lab. Bond has not been set.
Deputies said the meth lab was found at a home on Droze Road in Greenwell Springs. It is near BREC's Greenwell Springs Park.
Sylvester and Leininger also face charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Sylvester has an added charge of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
Because the lab was discovered in the Central area, the Central Police Department assisted in the search of the home. Officials reported finding what they described as finished product, two piles of meth, tubing, bottles, batteries and materials used to manufacture meth.
