BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Gov. Bobby Jindal and the owners of a glass company announced the relocation and expansion of the company's manufacturing operations in Louisiana.
Clear Edge Glass will move from its New Orleans location to Baton Rouge and invest more than $2.5 million to renovate a 41,000-square foot building.
The new building will offer nearly three times the space. Owners said it will also allow them to keep up with customer demands, plus expand their business.
"Today's announcement, ClearEdge Wholesale Glass US continuing our economic momentum by choosing to expand locally and supporting our economy for years and years to come," Jindal said.
State officials estimate the new set up will mean more than 230 jobs in the Capital region.
