Central High student arrested fro simple battery, obscenity at school

CENTRAL, LA (WAFB) - A 17-year-old Central High School student was arrested last week after he was accused of fondling two female students and then allegedly pulling down his pants and underwear to expose himself to the girls.

According to authorities with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to the school around 2:30 p.m.

The first victim told deputies that she and another girl were talking in the school hallway when 17-year-old Deion London and one of his friends approached them. Reports say London grabbed the girl against her will and fondled her in the buttocks and crotch areas on top of her clothing. The girl told deputies she yelled at London and told him to stop.

The victims reported when London was done fondling, he loosened his belt, unzipped his pants and exposed himself.

London was arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. He has been released on a $6,000 bond.

From Superintendent Michael Faulk (Central School District):

"We had an incident at the school that was investigated by the school resource officer," said Central School District Superintendent Michael Faulk. "We are going to handle it in accordance with the school's policy and procedures manual. An expulsion hearing will be scheduled."

The date of the expulsion hearing has not been scheduled at this time. That will be coordinated with the parents of the student after the Thanksgiving break.
