DENHAM SPRINGS, LA (WAFB) -

A survey team with the National Weather Service confirmed damage in Livingston Parish was caused by a tornado.

Officials reported the damage not continuous and was mostly caused by an EF0 tornado. They added there is a spot north of Livingston Parish with damage caused by an EF1.

The powerful storms that passed through south Louisiana on Sunday left behind a mess in some neighborhoods.

Pictures were sent from viewers in Denham Springs, where a fence was knocked down and items in the backyard were blown around.

The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for Livingston Parish on Sunday. It was canceled at 9:15 p.m. No injuries were reported.

Freeze warnings will be in effect Monday night into Tuesday morning throughout southeastern Louisiana and southern Mississippi. Forecasters said a strong cold front pushed through the region Monday morning. High winds of 20 to 30 mph with a few higher gusts are expected.
