WASHINGTON PARISH, LA (WAFB) - Officials with the Humane Society of Louisiana reported an arrest warrant has been issued for a woman accused of hoarding and neglecting animals.
They said the woman is from Washington Parish and is a repeat offender, but her name was not given. Law enforcement agencies reportedly executed a search warrant at the property over the weekend, but the owner was not there.
Officials with the Humane Society reported more than 40 animals were left without food or water when the owner allegedly abandoned them. However, they added neighbors fed the animals.
The Humane Society of Louisiana stated eight rabbits, seven dogs, five cats, two guinea pigs and a duck were rescued. Unfortunately, officials reported finding bones in some of the cages in the area.

They added it is believed another 20 cats believed to have been abandoned are running around in the woods surrounding the house. They said they are working with neighbors to try to catch them.
They are asking for money and other items to help care for the animals, so they eventually be put up for adoption. Below is a list of what they need:
