Officials with the Humane Society of Louisiana reported an arrest warrant has been issued for a woman accused of hoarding and neglecting animals.

They said the woman is from Washington Parish and is a repeat offender, but her name was not given. Law enforcement agencies reportedly executed a search warrant at the property over the weekend, but the owner was not there.

Officials with the Humane Society reported more than 40 animals were left without food or water when the owner allegedly abandoned them. However, they added neighbors fed the animals.

The Humane Society of Louisiana stated eight rabbits, seven dogs, five cats, two guinea pigs and a duck were rescued. Unfortunately, officials reported finding bones in some of the cages in the area.
