BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Two Baton Rouge men were arrested after a drive-by shooting when the victims saw the suspect's vehicle driving by the crime scene during the police investigation.
Police were called to the 3600 block of Ontario St. in reference to shots being fired on Nov. 8 just before 5 p.m.
Two victims told police 19-year-old Deondre Dewayne Wells and 20-years-old Demetrius Percell Harris were in a black SUV and stopped in the middle of the street and fired one shot at the victims. The victims were able to identify the suspects because they had been in an ongoing feud for several months.
While the victims were talking to police, reports say the two suspects drove by the crime scene.
Reports say Deondre Wells was in the passenger of the vehicle and shot at the victims. Demetrius Harris was identified as the driver of the black SUV.
Wells has been arrested and charged with attempted second degree murder and illegal use of a weapon. He is being held in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a $70,000 bond.
