BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The Baton Rouge Fire Department unveiled new equipment Monday morning to help keep the public safe.
Just in time for the peak winter fire season, firefighters will now have three new state-of-the-art trucks.
The new trucks were made in Louisiana by the folks over at the Ferrara Fire Apparatus Facility in Holden.
Fire Chief Ed Smith said the new equipment will give Baton Rouge firefighters an edge and help them to better do their jobs.
The trucks should also help improve response time, which in turn can help improve the fire rating.
