BRFD investigates fire at vacant house

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Investigators are trying to figure out what started a fire at a vacant house Sunday night.

The Baton Rouge Fire Department reported it happened on North 43rd Street around 10:15 p.m.

Firefighters reported seeing flames shooting from the front of the house when they arrived on the scene.

BRFD said it only took about 20 minutes to get the fire under control.

Officials said the fire destroyed about half of the house.
