Police investigating hay ride crash, 11 kids injured

LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA (WAFB) - State Police are investigating a crash involving a hay ride trailer which injured nearly a dozen kids.

It happened in the 33,000 block of Cane Market Road near Spring Lake Drive in Livingston Parish. Officials say a four-wheeler was pulling the hay ride trailer with no lights traveling on Cane Market Road when it was struck by a vehicle from behind. The trailer was carrying about 20 kids.

The driver of the four-wheeler was airlifted to a hospital with moderate to serious injuries. About 11 of the kids were transported to a local hospital with minor to moderate injuries.
