Coast Guard: No injuries, no pollution caused by tugboat fire

WEST BATON ROUGE PARISH, LA (WAFB) - Coast Guard officials say it took nearly six hours to put out a fire on a tugboat in West Baton Rouge.

It happened Friday morning near Solitude Point. Officials say the fire started in the engine room, but there were no injuries and no pollution.

The owner plans to tow the tugboat for repairs.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
