BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - State Police Troop A will host its Seventh Annual Public Safety Expo on Saturday, Nov. 1, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. It is a fun-filled, family-oriented, health and safety awareness event. It is free and open to the public.

The event will be held at the Blue Bayou Waterpark overflow parking lot on the corner of Highland Road and Interstate 10. There will be public safety displays, free food and drinks, live music, health screenings, K9 exhibitions and interactive games. This year, children are encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costumes and enjoy some trick-or-treating.

"This year's event should have something for all ages to enjoy and learn about and despite the fact that it is the day after Halloween it will be a safe and friendly place for kids to trick-or-treat," said Captain William Davis, Troop A Commander. "We encourage the public to come out, enjoy an evening with the family, and take advantage of this free event."
