BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The fan who died of a heart attack at the LSU-Ole Miss game Saturday night in Tiger Stadium had a history of heart problems, officials said.
The LSU Sports Information Department released a statement about the incident. Officials said Brian Tingley, 59, suffered a heart attack in the fourth quarter of the game.
According to the East Baton Rouge Parish coroner, Tingley had a history of cardiovascular disease and officials do not suspect foul play.
LSU officials added emergency medical personnel worked to resuscitate Tingley in the stands, but their efforts were unsuccessful.
The university offered its condolences to his family.
