BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A man was arrested Monday after being accused of stealing and pawning items from a home. Reports from the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office say the man had a key to the house so he could feed the fish while the homeowners were away.
The victim told deputies he suspected 44-year-old Christian Anthony Clarkson had been stealing from his home since the beginning of 2014.
A cutting torch and a rifle were pawned at Bayou Pawn Shop in Walker, LA.
When Clarkson was questioned by deputies, reports say he admitted several times that he went into the house to steal items to pawn for money.
During the investigation, a small amount of marijuana was found in Clarkson's bedroom.
He was arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of aggravated burglary, felony theft, theft of a firearm, and simple possession of marijuana. No bond has been set.
