BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - LSU used big plays on special teams to jump out to a 17-0 lead, and rode running back Terrence Magee in the second half to blow out Kentucky 41-3 Saturday night.
Magee's 49 yard kickoff return to open the game and a facemask penalty set up Leonard Fournette's one yard touchdown run for a 7-0 lead, and after a field goal made it 10-0, Tre'Davious White returned a punt 67 yards for another TD. Anthony Jennings 32 yard touchdown pass to Travin Dural and Colby Delahoussaye's second field goal gave the Tigers a 27-3 halftime lead.
Magee, who averaged 14 yards a carry scored two second half touchdowns to round out the scoring. Magee had 220 all-purpose yards for LSU (6-2, 2-2). Magee had 44 yards in pass receptions to go with 127 yards rushing on just nine carries against Kentucky (5-2, 2-2).
The Tigers host No.3 Ole Miss next weekend for homecoming.
