BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Three family members of a man accused of first degree murder were arrested Thursday after police say they threatened a person who is a witness in the murder case.
Police say 40-year-old Natasha Tate, 20-year-old Donte Tate, and 26-year-old Danny Allen have been arrested and charged with obstruction of justice.
On Monday, police were called to the 5000 block of Madison Avenue in Baton Rouge around 8:45 p.m. When they arrived, they found 21-year-old Calvin Chrisentary shot in the back. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Wednesday afternoon, 21-year-old Hardy Allen was arrested after a tip came in through Crime Stoppers. He has been charged with first degree murder, illegal use of a weapon and simple burglary. His bond has not been set.
Police say Natasha Tate, Donte Tate, and Danny Allen are related to Hardy Allen. After the arrest of Hardy, the other three contacted a key witness on the phone and began making verbal threats against her, along with being seen parked outside of her home.
They will be booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
